About
Measure where humanity is going.
Humanity Vector is a public, auditable dashboard for the state and direction of human civilization. The central question is not whether GDP is increasing. It is whether humanity is becoming more capable, abundant, resilient, knowledgeable, healthy, free, and able to expand.
Mission
Auditable numbers, explicit judgments.
The site observes real-world conditions with authoritative data, will identify the constraints on useful production and human progress, and will eventually help evaluate which investments could remove those constraints most effectively.
Every displayed statement is one of four kinds, Observed Derived Modeled Recommended, and the kinds are never blurred. A visitor should be able to disagree with an interpretation without needing to distrust the underlying data.
The name is deliberate. A vector has magnitude and direction. Humanity does not have to reach a final destination to know whether it is moving toward greater capability.
How the product develops
Three layers, in order
- 1live
Observe
What is happening?
Collect authoritative time series. Show current state, historical trend, rate of change, source, coverage and freshness for each metric.
- 2not started, page placeholder only
Diagnose
What is limiting progress?
Build dependency graphs between energy, materials, infrastructure, labor, manufacturing, compute, food and logistics. Detect bottlenecks, concentration, shortages and long lead times.
- 3not started
Optimize
What could move humanity forward faster?
Compare possible interventions. Estimate which investments most increase future capacity, resilience, health, knowledge, abundance and expansion, always separating observed data from modeled estimates and recommendations.
The first layer has to be credible before the others are built on it. Today the site is an observation layer with the schema and honest placeholders for the rest. See the Methods page for what is deliberately not done yet.
Ownership and transparency
Who runs this
- Owner and operator
- AllContraX LLC, Owensboro, Kentucky
- A veteran-owned company.
- Contact and corrections
- info@allcontrax.com
- Report a wrong value, a definition or a formula. How corrections work.
- Operations
- Data pipeline: migrations, seed catalog, source adapters and the ingestion runner are described on the Methods page. Ingestion runs are logged publicly on each source page.
- Editorial position
- The Principles page states the operator’s proposed directions for civilization, labelled as recommendations. They do not influence which values are shown or how they are computed.
Data licensing
Whose data this is
Observed values belong to the organizations that publish them. Each source page records the license status, the attribution text the provider asks for, and a link to the provider’s terms. Values are reproduced as published, in the provider’s units, with the provider’s series ID.
The launch source is the World Bank, World Development Indicators, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Humanity Vector derivations over that data are labelled as derived and carry their formula and version.
Sources whose terms do not permit redistribution are stored only as identifiers and retrieval metadata, and their values are not displayed until the license question is settled. Raw response snapshots are kept only where the license allows.
Text and structure written for this site by its operator may be quoted with attribution to Humanity Vector and a link.

What is not on this site
No user accounts
Nothing to sign up for. Every page is public and identical for every visitor.
No advertising or tracking
No ad network, no third-party analytics script, no cookies required to read the site.
No AI-generated numbers
No value on the site is produced, estimated or filled in by a language model, and no page depends on an AI service to render.
No single civilization score
The site publishes a vector of dimensions and, until formulas are versioned, no aggregate at all.
No political scoring
No party, government or ideology is rated. Assumptions are published so a conclusion can be inspected and disputed on the evidence.
No JavaScript requirement
Pages are server rendered. Filters are plain forms and drawers are plain disclosure elements, so the site reads the same with scripts disabled.
