What this measures
Number of orbital launch attempts in the calendar year, all providers and all launch sites. Counted from Launch Library 2 launch records whose net launch time falls in the calendar year, with suborbital flights excluded by the API (include_suborbital=false) and status Success, Failure or Partial Failure (the vehicle lifted off). Launches still marked Go, TBD or Hold are not counted. An attempt is one launch vehicle lift-off; rideshare payloads on one rocket are one launch.
